Can honestly say that of all the heritage railways that I've been to, Whitrope are one of the friendliest and most welcoming of them all!

Whitrope is a short railway of around 1/2 - 3/4 miles in length and has a fleet containing 2 Pacers: 142019 in Northern livery (which isn't currently in use) and 142020 in Tyne and Wear PTE livery and is the main unit on the line at present. There is also Experimental Pacer RB004, Class 26040, which is undergoing restoration and 2 small shunters FC Hibbert 'Planet' 4WDM 'Pluto' 3777, which usually offers breakvan rides on the line and Ruston & Hornsby 48DS 411319, which is currently stored.

Would definately reccomend a visit!
