67029+003 at Motherwell

The Class 67 was built by Alstom in Spain for EWS in 1999/2000.   30 of them were built with 125mph capibility as a replacement for the Class 47's operating on the mail services.   Once these duties ended at the end of the mail contract in 2003, they found other work including hauling the Royal Train, hauling portions of the Caledonian Sleeper on unelectrified track, East Coast Mail Line Thunderbird duties, Fife Circle Peak time passenger services for Scotrail and the Powderhall 'Bins'.
