Review of 2013
Following on from 2012, I’ve decided to do a review of 2013 with some of the more rare and interesting moves and workings I’ve seen during the year.
January 2013
On 3rd January, 66847 heads north through Holytown Light Engine with 0Z47 Carlisle Wapping Sidings – Stirling Sidings move.
http://scottishtrains.zenfolio.com/p439374256/h5132e054#h5132e05c
A livery that is disappearing rapidly is the SPT Carmine and Cream livery, during 2013 a large number of 334’s lost this livery. On 12th January, here is 334016 passing Hillend Loch with a service for Edinburgh Waverley.
http://scottishtrains.zenfolio.com/p439374256/h5132e054#h521093d0
A unique liveried 66 is Freightliner’s Bardon Blue liveried 66623 on 12th January in the sunshine, it was seen passing through Holytown with 2 hoppers heading east to the wheel laithe at Craigentinny with 5Z48 Mossend – Craigentinny
http://scottishtrains.zenfolio.com/p439374256/h5132e054#h5210958e
Another rare move also on the 12th January was 6C89 Carlisle Yard – Mossend slurry tanker move passing through Holytown with a double header from EWS liveried pair 66197+66145

http://scottishtrains.zenfolio.com/p439374256/h5132e054#h52a560d4
Its very unusual to see a sleeper service at 3pm in the afternoon, yet on 26th January, we had exactly this 90026 passed through with 5S26 London Euston – Polmodie after overhead problems caused it to be stuck at Crewe and cancelled, the ECS was eventually hauled up to Polmodie for servicing
